Draft for review. This text was written from how Maifast works today. Please check every part, fill in the parts marked [Owner: …], and delete this note before you rely on it.
This policy explains what information Maifast collects, why, and who else receives it.
Who we are
Maifast is run by [Owner: add your business's legal name and postal address].
What we collect
Your account: your email address, name and password, and your phone number if you add one. The password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
Google sign-in: if you use "Continue with Google", we get your name, email address, Google account ID and the link to your profile picture.
What you add: your workspaces and sheets (names, the data you type or paste, cell colours), your chat questions and answers, ideas you share with our team, and payment requests (plan, transaction ID and screenshot).
The contact form: your name, phone number and message. It is not linked to any account.
Technical details: your IP address, browser and device details when you sign in, a count of the questions you use, and short records of recent attempts (such as sign-ins) to stop misuse.
How we use it
To run your account, save your sheets, answer your questions and check your payments.
To email you sign-up codes, password reset links, or a set-up link if our team creates your account. We send you no other emails today.
To reply to you, by phone or WhatsApp if you gave a number.
To apply the free plan's limits and stop misuse.
A phone number is optional. When the offer is on, adding one gives a free account extra sheet searches.
Who else receives information
OpenAI, which runs our AI. It receives what you write in a chat, with earlier messages from that chat. In a sheet's chat it also gets the sheet's name and column names. It does not get the data in your sheets, or the answers Maifast works out from that data. Do not type passwords or private details into a chat.
Google, only if you use "Continue with Google".
Our email service, which delivers our emails. It also sends contact form messages, and ideas you share (with your name and email address), to our team.
The person who invited you. If you joined through a referral link, they can see your name (or part of your email address) and whether you have paid.
Our team, who can see your account details, sign-in IP addresses, sheet names, payment requests and screenshots, ideas you share, and contact messages.
The WhatsApp button only opens WhatsApp, where WhatsApp's own terms apply.
Cookies and browser storage
Maifast uses only the cookies it needs: to keep you signed in (up to 30 days, renewed while you use Maifast), to protect Google sign-in, to remember a referral link (up to 30 days), and to remember whether the side menu is open. Your browser also stores a few display settings. There are no advertising cookies and no analytics or tracking scripts.
Where it is kept
Your information is kept in Maifast's database on our server. Payment screenshots are kept in private storage. The site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. No online service is completely safe, so please use a strong password.
Your choices
Change your name or phone number in Edit Profile. Leave the phone box empty to remove the number.
Change your password in Update Password.
Clear a chat, or delete a sheet or workspace. This removes it from our database and cannot be undone. Ideas you have already sent are not removed.
You cannot change your email address or delete your account in the app. To ask us to delete your account, or to ask about your information, contact us through the home page.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. Expired sign-in sessions, sign-up codes and reset links are removed automatically. Contact form messages stay until our team deletes them. [Owner: say how long you keep data after an account is closed, and how long backup copies are kept.]
Changes
We may update this policy when Maifast changes. The "Last updated" date on this page shows when it last changed.
Questions and complaints
Contact us through the WhatsApp button or the contact form on our home page. [Owner: add the name and contact details of the person who handles privacy questions and complaints.]
